Sáng Huynh

Director, Founder

Sáng Huynh is a curator and cultural strategist working between Paris and New York, dedicated to fostering artistic expression and expanding cultural discourse. Her multidisciplinary background in painting, photography, and exhibition programming informs her exploration of the intersection between art, psychology, and human experience. As the Founder and Director of The Art Vacancy, she has led pioneering curatorial initiatives that champion emerging and underrepresented artists. Her curatorial portfolio includes Eremocene (2023), The Ripple Effect (2021), Moments in Time (2019), Origins (2019), Measures (2018), The Next Gen: John Yuyi (2018), Passion vs. Pragmatism (2017), and Máu Xanh: The Blue Series (2015). She also co-curated Architecture and Abandon (2015) alongside renowned graffiti artist Adam Stab. In addition to her curatorial work, Sáng is a professor at the Institut d’Études Supérieures des Arts (IESA) in Paris, where she teaches graduate courses in marketing and communications for the arts and cultural sector. Through her work, she continues to shape contemporary curatorial discourse while mentoring the next generation of arts professionals.

Jah-Leah Ellis

Jah-Leah Ellis is a dynamic cultural professional whose expertise spans journalism, marketing, and the intersection of sports and the arts. Currently pursuing a master’s degree in journalism at Griffith College Dublin, she brings a sharp analytical perspective to storytelling, media, and cultural commentary. Her experience traveling across Europe has deepened her engagement with both historic and contemporary art, informing her multidisciplinary approach. Previously, Jah-Leah served as Operations and Marketing Associate at The Art Vacancy, where she played a key role in the organization’s early growth and visibility. She remains deeply engaged in cultural production, leveraging her expertise in media, operations, and community-driven initiatives to support artists and creative organizations.

Sequoia Douglas is a New York-based cultural producer and strategist specializing in marketing, community engagement, and artist advocacy. With a background spanning art, fashion, and communications, she is dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities for emerging artists and fostering meaningful connections within the global art ecosystem. As Marketing Manager at The Art Vacancy, Sequoia develops and implements strategic initiatives that amplify artists' voices, expand audience reach, and strengthen institutional partnerships. Her work bridges creative disciplines with innovative storytelling and engagement strategies, ensuring artists gain visibility and support in an increasingly dynamic cultural landscape.
