Nyran Loomcal is a London based multi-media artist and a graduate of the University of East London. His work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions throughout the United Kingdom.
Loomcal uses industrial materials such as concrete and polymer fillers in combination with oil paint and acrylic, to create huge, imposing compositions. To this, he has added overlays of deformed flesh and grotesque depictions of the human form. Underlying these huge pieces are ideas of an urban dystopia, propaganda, isolation, and architectural brutalism.
Loomcal looks to apply oil paint in an almost sculptural way and the works are left to erode, leading to a realization of artistic decay.
